Mumbai has witnessed intermittent episodes of human-leopard conflict for decades. At the frontline of this fragile coexistence stands the rescue team of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, working tirelessly to protect those who cannot speak for themselves.

Beyond the Conflict unravels the interwoven lives of leopards and the people who care for them, revealing an unseen story of dedication, compassion, and quiet tragedy that exists beyond the obvious conflict.

For over a decade, Pradip Patade, a dedicated marine enthusiast in his late fifties, has devoted himself to revealing Mumbai's hidden coastal biodiversity through meticulous intertidal explorations, workshops, and guided shore walks.

With the monsoon approaching, in the film, he embarks on one final search of the season to rediscover a long-lost crab species he first documented in 2017, a species originally recorded in the late 1950s by the person who inspired him, Dr. B.F. Chhapgar. As the film follows Pradip's quest, it also uncovers a unique way of life shaped around Mumbai's shores and the animals that call them home.
